My Thoughts

My review of 'Twas the Night Before Jesus is a little different from my usual posts. I enlisted the help of three "professionals" in composing the review.

I was told that the book was cool. They liked the rhyming. And some of the pictures were funny. I consider it definitely approved by this team of readers aged 10, 4, and 9!

My Nana review is also a positive one. The story has the very comfortable meter and feel of the familiar 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. But this book tells the real story of Christmas and beyond in a fun, kid-friendly way with vibrant and fun illustrations. It begins with the nativity story of Christ's birth and continues through His death and resurrection, giving a beautiful look at the meaning of His birth that includes so much more than just the Baby in the manger. If you have children from littles on up, I highly recommend adding 'Twas the Night Before Jesus to your annual Christmas reading list.
